Zucchini is one of the favorite crops among gardeners. The vegetables are used to prepare snacks for every day or for the winter.
If planted successfully, a couple of bushes can provide a harvest for the entire winter.
Anastasia Kovrizhnykh , an expert of the online publication "BelNovosti", an agronomist and landscape designer, told summer residents where it is best to plant this vegetable.
How to choose a place
1. Zucchini like well-lit and draft-free beds.
2. The soil should be neutral or slightly alkaline.
3. Don't forget about crop rotation and don't plant zucchini where potatoes or pumpkins grew before. Excellent predecessors are tomatoes, greens, carrots, garlic and legumes.
How to prepare the soil
Add a bucket of compost (humus) per square meter of the bed when digging, add a little less than a handful of ammonium nitrate and 1 tablespoon each of potassium sulfate and superphosphate.
Neighborhood in the garden beds
Zucchini will grow best next to the following crops:
- radish;
- early ripening Beijing;
- spinach;
- dill;
- mustard;

- garlic and onion;
- peas;
