Summer residents, stop: this tree is not worth planting on your plot - then don't complain about aphids and caterpillars

Many gardeners, vegetable growers and summer residents often decide to decorate their plots with plants that have no practical use.

But it is beautiful, such people say. Yes, aesthetically pleasing and romantic, their followers echo.

But few of them will later publicly admit that exoticism turned into a big disaster for their “practical” plants.

Such is the gift from the "beautiful and romantic" plants - diseases, pest infestations, other misfortunes. As a result - the harvest is lost.

One of the plants that poses such a threat to summer residents is bird cherry, informs the expert of the online publication BelNovosti, agronomist and landscape designer Anastasia Kovrizhnykh .

People in the know, those who have planted it on their plots, say: the tree collects all possible infections, including caterpillars, aphids, etc.

As for aesthetics, instead of a pleasing color (although at first, of course, it is there) you get a dull picture of trees covered in cobwebs.

Due to its large growth, bird cherry suppresses many “neighbors”, but raspberry is an exception.

By the way, trees grow very quickly – they have to be pruned every year.

Many people on specialized forums say that they have removed bird cherry trees from their plots, although the undergrowth remains, and birds flock to the berries.

Among other things, people note that flowering bird cherry can cause headaches.
