Many gardeners face the problem of increased soil acidity in their areas and try to solve this problem by adding various acidifiers, such as ash or chalk.

At the same time, they forget that not all plants feel bad in acidic soils. Some of them, according to the expert of the online publication BelNovosti, scientist-agronomist, landscape designer Anastasia Kovrizhnykh , on the contrary, grow and bloom better when the soil reaction is pH below 5.5.

Among the acid-loving flowers we can name such popular plants as lupines, lilies of the valley, lilies, peonies, chrysanthemums, garden poppies, forget-me-nots, cornflowers, zinnias and others.

Want something new? Take a closer look at the Andromeda. Andromeda, as the flower is also called, is an evergreen plant with twisted leaves covered with fluff on the underside.

The cinquefoil blooms from the end of April to mid-June – its inflorescences look like bells drooping downwards, which makes those around feel tender.

Cassiopeia, which is often used as a decoration for a heather garden, is also a worthy option.

Cassiopeia begins to bloom at the end of March and finishes by the beginning of June – its flowers look like small, drooping, milky-colored inflorescences, reminiscent of lily of the valley.
