The proximity of the beds determines the quality and quantity of the future harvest, as well as fertilizers or timely watering.

Onions are no exception in this regard. They are used green and are always stored for the winter.

Therefore, the best options for combining vegetables can be called:

  • carrots and beets (neighborhood will benefit everyone - protection from pests and diseases);
  • strawberries (wild strawberries) will not worsen the onion harvest, but at the same time the berries will be reliably protected from all adversities;
  • dill and leafy greens;
  • radish paired with onions allows you to forget about the appearance of aphids and spider mites;
  • cucumbers will be less likely to get sick, and onions will produce an excellent harvest;
  • You can also sow thyme and chamomile nearby.

It's better not to plant it

You should keep legumes, asparagus and lettuce, as well as zucchini, tomatoes and peppers away from the onion bed.

Because of them, the onion will not have enough nutrition, and the plant will get sick.
