The truly huge army of flower growers can be safely divided into two conditional groups: one is represented by people who constantly forget about the need to water the plants, while the other includes people who flood the plants with water.

How to avoid problems associated with flooding and determine the amount of water needed for a particular flower, was explained by the expert of the online publication BelNovosti, agronomist, landscape designer Anastasia Kovrizhnykh .

When watering flowers, many gardeners try to take into account the age and size of the plant or pot.

But there is an easier way.

Instead of relying on the volume of liquid for each pot, add water in small portions and wait until it is absorbed.

You should water until the water starts to flow into the tray, seeping out of the drainage holes.

Please note: you should not immediately pour out the water from the tray - the fact is that the flower will suck the moisture back in for the first 10-15 minutes.

But if after this time there is still water left in the tray, it is worth getting rid of it.

If you use this simple trick, you can never worry about overwatering your flower again.

Earlier we told you what you shouldn’t plant next to onions – one of them will definitely not grow.
