A gardener who uses superphosphate on his plot must use protective equipment, otherwise serious consequences may occur.

Incorrect dosage calculation

Both excess and deficiency of superphosphate can harm plants.

Half a kilo of the product is enough for 100 m2 (or approximately 250 grams if we are talking about double superphosphate).

Surface application

Some summer residents simply sprinkle the product on the soil and think that this is enough.

But the effect of using superphosphate will only be if the product is at a depth of at least 0.1 m.

Combination with nitrogen

Superphosphate does not get along with nitrogen fertilizers.

When applied together with nitrogen, the phosphorus source simply loses its effectiveness.

Application on acidic soils

Superphosphate also becomes ineffective if the soil pH is significantly below 7.
