Contrary to popular belief, not all seeds need to be soaked before planting.

An expert of the online publication Belnovosti, agronomist, and landscape designer Anastasia Kovrizhnykh tells us which seeds do not require soaking.

What seeds are not soaked?

Firstly, do not soak very small seeds, for example, carrot seeds.

It is recommended to sow such seeds densely with subsequent thinning.

Secondly, you should not soak seeds that are released in a special shell (coated, encrusted).

Thirdly, you cannot soak seeds with a thin shell (parsley, celery, garlic, onion sets) for a long time.

Seeds with a hard shell (tomatoes, peppers) must be soaked.
