To ensure that the pepper grows well, the fruits are tasty and large, and the yield is 3-4 times greater than usual, simple but very effective fertilizers are used.
Anastasia Kovrizhnykh, an expert of the online publication BelNovosti, agronomist and landscape designer, told us what fertilizers to apply for excellent results.
During flowering
Nitrogen fertilizers are used to feed peppers during flowering, which improve the formation of ovaries and reduce the risk of them falling off.
To prepare the solution, you need to dilute 0.5 tablespoon of any nitrogen fertilizer in a container with 1 liter of warm water, mix thoroughly and dilute with water in a ratio of 1:10. Pour 1 liter of this solution under each pepper bush, the procedure is carried out once a week.
Before fruiting
Before the fruits begin to ripen, it is also necessary to add fertilizers to the pepper. Magnesium is excellent in this case.
To prepare the solution, one tablespoon of magnesium sulfate is diluted in a container with one liter of warm water and mixed thoroughly. Then this solution is diluted with water in a ratio of 1:10 and foliar feeding is carried out.
During fruiting
During this period, to increase the yield and duration of fruiting, fertilizers are also applied to the pepper.
To prepare the fertilizer, one teaspoon of urea is diluted in a container with one liter of warm water, mixed well, and then diluted with water in a ratio of 1:10. This solution is watered on the plants at the rate of one liter per bush.
