Cucumbers are heat-loving crops, and people have come up with many funny rituals for sowing them.
But in this case there is nothing funny, since we are talking about a method that guarantees friendly shoots, and therefore a rich harvest.
Anastasia Kovrizhnykh , an expert of the online publication "BelNovosti", an agronomist and landscape designer, reminded how to sow cucumbers in boiling water.
This method is not new and has been practiced for a long time. It is equally good for sowing cucumber seeds for seedlings or directly in the beds.
How to proceed
1. First, you need to prepare containers and soil for sowing seeds, after which the soil needs to be watered with hot water.
2. Then we place the seeds on the warmed surface, lightly press them into the soil and cover them with a thin layer of soil on top.
3. Cover the containers with future seedlings with cling film and put them in a warm place. The first shoots should appear in 3-4 days.
4. After the sprouts appear, remove the film.
Then the seedlings are cared for as usual.
Previously we talked about how and when to plant pepper seedlings.
