For sowing each vegetable crop, it is important to choose the right time and then create the necessary conditions.

In the case of bell peppers, there is a whole story. The seeds of this crop germinate with difficulty, and gardeners often have to worry.

Anastasia Kovrizhnykh , an expert of the online publication "BelNovosti", an agronomist and landscape designer, told how to sow pepper seeds for seedlings.

How to sow

1. Do not forget that pepper is a heat-loving crop and you need to calculate the work in such a way that the seedlings get stronger by the time the soil warms up to 16-17 degrees Celsius.

2. Sow the seeds in loose and nutritious slightly acidic (pH 6-6.5) soil.

Don't forget that the soil needs to be disinfected, for example, with potassium permanganate, or baked in the oven.

3. The seeds are also disinfected in a solution of potassium permanganate, soaked in a solution of mineral fertilizers, and then germinated in damp gauze in a warm place.

4. Sow the seeds in separate containers with a diameter and depth of 10 cm.

5. Watering is carried out once every 6-7 days with settled water at a temperature of 20-22 degrees Celsius.

When to sow

For everything to go well, you need to choose a favorable day according to the lunar cycle.

Best during the waxing moon or full moon phase.

As for the best days for sowing pepper seedlings, gardeners in March name the 6th-8th, 10th-13th, 15th-17th and 29th-30th as such.

Previously we talked about how to care for seedlings from small seeds.
