Pepper seedlings to the envy of everyone in just 10 days: neighbors will gasp at the result

Well-developed seedlings, after being moved to open ground, begin to grow without difficulty and produce an excellent harvest.

Pepper picking occurs when the seedlings grow two true leaves in a container with a volume of more than 300 ml.

Anastasia Kovrizhnykh , an expert of the online publication "BelNovosti", an agronomist and landscape designer, spoke about the peculiarities of growing pepper seedlings.

After the first feeding, in just 10 days, the pepper seedlings will be unrecognizable - they will become strong and stocky.

It is necessary to monitor the placement of seedlings so that the leaves do not shade each other. In addition to proper care, only four elements are responsible for the green color of the leaves: nitrogen, iron, sulfur and magnesium.

At the first stage of development, seedlings require nitrogen. But pepper also loves magnesium.

This means that the composition of the fertilizer should take into account the presence of these two elements important for pepper. Also, pepper, which at this stage is developing the root system, requires phosphorus.

Fertilizer options

1. Top dressing is carried out at the rate of 15 grams of fertilizer with the formula of elements (NPK - nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium) 20-20-20, and to this add 5 to 10 grams of magnesium sulfate. The mixture is dissolved in 10 liters of water and the seedlings are watered under the root.

2. The 18-18-18 formula, which already contains magnesium, will work. Then magnesium sulfate will not be needed, and the fertilizer itself should be taken at 20 grams per 10 liters.

3. Instead of the above options, when there is no fertilizer with the NPK formula at hand, you can combine two other fertilizers that will give a similar effect and benefit to the plant: 15 grams of ammonium nitrate with the addition of 5 grams of magnesium sulfate, dilute in a ten-liter bucket of water.

4. Another option, which is not quite similar to the above options, but will also provide seedlings with all the necessary elements, is magnesium nitrate (magnesium nitrate). This fertilizer also contains nitrogen and magnesium. Take 15 to 20 grams of fertilizer per ten-liter bucket.

When to fertilize

Pepper seedlings should grow 5 to 6 true leaves.

Water moderately so that water does not flow out of the drainage holes, but soaks the entire volume of soil.

And for organic lovers, there is this option: "Kurnik" (fertilizer based on chicken manure) and the drug "Baikal-EM". The mixture is made up of 250 grams of "Kurnik" per bucket of water with the addition of 50 ml of "Baikal-EM". Mix well and let it brew for 1-2 days. This infusion is used to water older seedlings.
