Due to mistakes made during storage of vegetables, they may begin to sprout.

Instead of throwing such “substandard” products into the trash, the expert of the online publication “BelNovosti”, scientist-agronomist, landscape designer Anastasia Kovrizhnykh advises placing such root crops in a pot with soil and sending them for further germination.

Carrot

Place a piece of carrot in water, where it will remain for about 3 days, and after you notice roots appearing, transplant the carrot into the soil - and that's the beginning of a winter garden.

Beet

The same can be done with beets, and any other root vegetables - the resulting tops contain many benefits and can be used as an additive to salad, soup or smoothie.

Garlic

Those garlic cloves that for some reason have sprouted, also stick into the soil (can be replaced with wet sawdust) and wait - in a few weeks, fragrant greenery will appear.

Onion

Onions planted in sand also show excellent results, and cut off the top of the leek, leaving 4-5 cm from the roots, and put it in water - soon you will see the long-awaited greenery.

Cabbage

To get cabbage greens, you will need the stalk left over from the head of cabbage. It is enough to place it in a pot to get a large amount of microelements and other benefits.

Earlier we talked about a remedy for Colorado beetles that all experienced gardeners use.
