Sweet pepper is a popular vegetable among summer residents, and many gardeners try their hand at growing it, but not everyone can achieve the desired results.
An important factor is the correct choice of variety, and therefore the expert of the online publication "BelNovosti", scientist-agronomist, landscape designer Anastasia Kovrizhnykh recommends that beginners carefully study the characteristics of different varieties before making a choice and buying seeds or seedlings.
"Husky"
This hybrid of Dutch selection consistently demonstrates high results. "Husky" is one of the earliest varieties with milky-white fruits, capable of reaching red coloring. It has increased resistance to diseases.
"Palanichko miracle"
This is a Czech variety with beautiful cone-shaped fruits and excellent taste. However, it is susceptible to blossom-end rot. However, its high yield and excellent taste more than compensate for this shortcoming.
"Big Mama"
"Big Mama" is a Russian selection. The variety with cuboid fruits is characterized by high fruit set, but, alas, is prone to apical rot.
"Red Cube"
A Belarusian variety with cuboid thick-walled fruits, which is distinguished by high productivity and resistance to stress. Like the previous options, it is susceptible to blossom-end rot.
"Murasaki Togarashi Yamato"
This variety of chili pepper is not spicy, has a sweet taste and a pleasant aroma. It is one of the 20 Japanese varieties that locals are proud of and the whole world knows about. The distinctive features of "Murasaki Togarashi Yamato" are purple flowers and long, uniform fruiting.
