Despite all its unpretentiousness, dill can grow poorly.

For what reason could a summer resident growing this crop encounter such a problem?

There are two obvious answers. The first is unfavorable weather conditions. Dill does not grow well at very high air temperatures.

The second option is a lack of compounds and microelements important for the plant. In other words, the difficulty could have arisen because the gardener did not apply enough fertilizers.

There is a less obvious version, which, nevertheless, is a frequent explanation for the problem. It is about the wrong place for planting greenery.

A common mistake of summer residents

An expert of the online publication "BelNovosti", agronomist and landscape designer Anastasia Kovrizhnykh emphasized: dill will not grow well in the shade.

It is advisable to choose a well-lit area for the plant.

In addition, it is worth paying attention to the type of soil in the garden bed.

You should not choose a site with very acidic soil for dill. Alkaline soil is also not suitable for garden crops.

But neutral soil will be an excellent choice. It is desirable that the pH value be 6.5-7.0.

Earlier, summer residents were told the best fertilizer for young seedlings.
