The need to cover a rose depends on the winter hardiness of a particular variety, winter weather conditions and climate.
Each type of rose requires a certain type of protection, but most often the gardener makes a tunnel air-dry shelter.
Unfortunately, bad weather often causes the collapse of the structure.
Let's see what to do if the rose cover is destroyed.
What to do after the destruction of the rose shelter
There is little pleasant in such an incident, but this does not mean that the bushes will die, but you need to help the plant as soon as possible.
The plant should be cleared of snow, broken structural elements should be lifted without exposing the shoots, and if possible, broken supports should be repaired.
Don't trim the broken rose stems yet. Just rebuild the structure, put down a double layer of non-woven fabric, and throw snow on top.
Earlier we wrote about the possibility of rooting ornamental roses.
