What needs to be done in a greenhouse in winter
Here are 5 tasks.
- Tidy up. Remove plant debris, pathogens and various trash, which is best burned.
- Strengthen the structure. This is especially true for a polycarbonate greenhouse. At least install supports.
- Ventilate the greenhouse. This will allow the soil to freeze well and deeply, which will kill some of the pest larvae.
- Throw snow into the greenhouse. In the spring, the soil will be moist enough to grow crops.
- Clear the snow. Otherwise, it may break when the thaw sets in.
