Most crops reproduce through seeds, which are produced by fertilization inside the fruit.
But people prefer to eat the fruit rather than the seed, which in most cases is simply thrown away.
That's why summer residents thought that they could grow seedless hybrids in their gardens.
Let's see what the expert of the online publication "Belnovosti" and agronomist Anastasia Kovrizhnykh thinks about this.
What seedless crops can be grown in the garden
First of all, it should be noted that seedless vegetables and fruits are safe for humans – they do not contain any scary “GMOs”.
Here are some examples of seedless crops.
- Diploid watermelons. These are specially bred seedless varieties - you can grow Sagi F1, Sid Zero F1 and Ortal F1.
- Cucumber. Fruits without bitterness are very tasty - "Zozulya F1", "Aprelsky F1" and "German F1".
- Tomatoes. The following varieties are suitable: "Banana", "Yellow Rocket" and "Taiga".
