Even if you have bulbs not from your own garden, but only from the store, you should not lose hope of getting a fragrant and green feather from them.
Anastasia Kovrizhnykh, an expert of the online publication BelNovosti, agronomist and landscape designer, explained how to proceed in this case.
Perhaps the easiest way is to buy already sprouted onions in the supermarket, which, by the way, are most often sold at a reduced price.
All that is required of you is to place such an onion in a container with water, soil or sawdust upon arrival home.
If you have not found the necessary bulbs with hatched feathers, choose bulbs with a diameter of 3-4 cm, and then begin to create the conditions necessary for the growth of greenery.
In this case, you will need to soak the onion in warm water, where it should be left for 12 hours.
This procedure results in the onion being saturated with moisture and oxygen, which undoubtedly has a beneficial effect on feather growth.
After this, cut off the tops of the bulbs and place them all in the same containers - with water, soil or sawdust, which should be placed on the windowsill and wait for the "sprouts".
