When replanting indoor flowers and ornamental plants, gardeners make a mistake and don’t even know it.

Most people are sure that ornamental plants love spacious pots and have a hard time with cramped spaces. In fact, in some cases, it's just the opposite.

Anastasia Kovrizhnykh , an expert of the online publication "BelNovosti", an agronomist and landscape designer, reminded gardeners which plants should not be planted in spacious flowerpots.

For the plants listed, this is an important condition, just like the need for water, fertilizers or sunlight.

Sansevieria

This plant needs a wide and shallow pot.

The root system grows in width. You can not think about transplanting until the roots begin to show on the surface of the earth.

Spurge

Young plants are replanted every year. It is not recommended to disturb mature plants more often than once every two years.

The rest of the time, that is, while the roots of the flower are striving towards the bottom of the pot, the milkweed will delight.

Ficus

A plant with a difficult character. To make caring for it even easier, ficus is grown in tight pots, which prevents the roots from rotting.

If you plant it in a spacious pot, the root system begins to actively develop and weakens the above-ground part.

Violets

Violets are grown in small pots, thanks to which they bloom more often and better. They are rarely replanted.

Zamioculcas

Young flowers are replanted every spring. Plants older than 3 years - approximately once every three years. If you plant it in a spacious flowerpot, the "dollar" tree will upset the owner for a long time.
