Weather conditions
In order for vegetables to bear fruit well and ripen in a timely manner, certain comfortable weather conditions must be established.
Tomatoes can remain green if it's much colder outside than usual.
But heat above 30 degrees also has the same negative effect.
Sunlight
For normal development, tomatoes need access to abundant sunlight. This is an important condition for a decent harvest.
If tomatoes have little light, they will develop slowly and reluctantly, remaining green.
