Most housewives use aloe as a folk medicine, and only a few know that the plant also blooms.
But you shouldn't expect to instantly get buds of unprecedented beauty by watering the plant. You'll have to work.
Anastasia Kovrizhnykh , an expert of the online publication "BelNovosti", an agronomist and landscape designer, told how to make aloe bloom.
In order for aloe to bloom, it needs to be awakened. But there are a few nuances.
First, you need to choose a suitable variety, for example Barbadensis miller.
Secondly, you need to start after a dry and cold period.
This is exactly the time that precedes the beginning of aloe flowering in natural conditions.
Thirdly, in order for aloe to bloom, you need to create a special climate for the plant right on the windowsill.
To do this, florists need to equip a reservoir on the windowsill, into which warm air will not penetrate.
The flower must be kept at 5-7 degrees Celsius, but not frozen.
As the weather warms, the flower will form buds and bloom.
