Tip one: consider the location
Flowers usually grow on the windowsill. But if these are shade-loving plants, you need to remember that in winter, due to heating devices and dry air, the soil dries out faster than the rest of the year. These flowers will have to be watered more often.
Anything that grows near a cool window can be watered less often. The soil stays moist longer here.
If the leaves are wilting, you need to spray. You need to loosen the soil periodically.
Tip two: about hibernation
Succulents and cacti can do without water in winter. They rest in winter, so watering is minimal, they do not need fertilizers.
Only flowering plants are watered regularly at this time.
Tip three: about light
Light-loving crops are moved to the brightest window – the southern one. It also makes sense to think about additional lighting.
Tip number four: water treatments
Indoor plants with large leaves need to be cleaned of dust, wiped or given a shower.
