Sweet, or bell, peppers are good in any form – in salads, vegetable stews or preserves.
It is not surprising that summer residents are very interested in getting a large harvest of this crop. Advice that will help achieve this goal was shared by the expert of the online publication "BelNovosti", scientist-agronomist, landscape designer Anastasia Kovrizhnykh .
So, the first thing worth mentioning is the timing of planting seedlings in open ground or in a greenhouse.
So, in the first case (in open ground), pepper should be planted in May – early June, when the soil is warm enough. In the second (in a film greenhouse) – at the end of April.
In both cases, do not forget to treat the roots of the plants with a growth stimulator - "Kornevin" or any other.
When planting peppers, leave a distance of 50 cm between seedlings - this is another important condition for obtaining a large harvest.
Once the plants have taken root, they require standard care in the form of loosening the soil, weeding, fertilizing and watering, for which you will need warm water heated by the sun.
Finally, let us remind you about pruning, which should be done every 10 days during the growing season and after harvesting. Only the longest shoots need shortening.
