What to do if slugs have settled in the cellar: you can’t remain idle

A basement or cellar where summer residents store vegetables and fruits for the winter is a very attractive place for slugs.

Indeed, in such rooms there is a fairly comfortable temperature, which does not drop to zero, and fairly high humidity – just what these gastropods need.

Believe me, if pests manage to penetrate into a place forbidden to them, they will not stand on ceremony and will almost instantly spoil a significant part of the harvested crop.

The most effective method of control in this case is manual collection.

You can also try folk methods like beer traps, but they are usually not very effective.

Instead, use iron phosphate-based products such as Ferramol or Ulicid to combat slugs – they are good against small pests.

To destroy large individuals, use compounds containing copper or metaldehyde - "Slizneed", "Groza-3", "StopUlit", etc.

But a sulfur smoke bomb will not work - treatment with it is carried out 1.5-2 weeks before placing vegetables and fruits in the cellar.
