A spectacular flower that everyone, except for allergy sufferers, likes – the orchid, is a rather capricious plant. Many housewives wait a long time for it to bloom again.
Orchid blooming depends on many factors: a properly selected location, care, quality of the substrate. Sometimes it requires replanting.
Anastasia Kovrizhnykh , an expert of the online publication "BelNovosti", an agronomist and landscape designer, told whether it is necessary to water an orchid after replanting.
If you need to transplant the orchid to another container or simply replace the substrate, you must definitely water it.
The reason is that the substrate sold in the store is dry, and if you place an orchid in a dry environment, it will inevitably dry out.
How to water
Firstly, it is recommended to add fertilizers or other substances to the water that will help the plant cope with the stress of transplantation.
These can be additives containing nitrogen, potassium, magnesium or other mineral fertilizers for these flowers.
Secondly, water procedures are started immediately after transplantation. Settled and clean water at room temperature is used.
Thirdly, water is poured into the container until the substrate settles, and then the pot with the flower is placed in a basin of water.
And lastly: after watering, the plant should be placed in a dark place for one to two weeks.
