In autumn, many summer residents discover numerous fruits lying under the trees in their garden.
A collection of such fruits is called "padalitsa".
Strong winds are not always the cause of fruit falling.
Often, fruit ends up on the ground because the tree has encountered some kind of disease.
In this case, the condition of the fruits themselves can hardly be called normal. However, some owners of country plots still decide to use such fallen fruits.
An expert of the online publication "BelNovosti", agronomist and landscape designer Anastasia Kovrizhnykh named two dangerous and, unfortunately, very common actions with rotten fruits.
First mistake
Many summer residents simply leave such fruits under the trees.
Do not do this under any circumstances. Do not assume that pathogens will die during the winter.
Most likely, bad fallen fruit will remain a source of illness. Nothing good will happen to the soil and woody plants. The problems will make themselves known in the spring.
Second mistake
Some amateur gardeners put fallen fruits into compost without even checking the condition of the fruit.
This is a very serious oversight. Rotten or diseased fruits will certainly spoil the organic fertilizer.
What to do with rotten fallen fruit
We figured out that it is impossible to leave such fruits on the ground and send them to the compost pit.
But what to do with these fruits then? The answer is simple: it is better to bury the fallen fruit far from the suburban area at a depth of at least half a meter.
