Many gardeners plant fruit-bearing trees on their plots, but sometimes the harvest remains unclaimed.
Therefore, summer residents begin to wonder about how much fruit exactly is needed to provide for a family of four.
Apparently, it doesn't take many trees to accomplish this task.
Let's see what standards the expert of the online publication "Belnovosti" and agronomist Anastasia Kovrizhnykh recommends to adhere to.
How many and what kind of fruit trees should be on the site
If you want to provide your family with the necessary supply of fruits, you can plant:
- 4 apple trees - two late-ripening and one early and one mid-ripening;
- 2 pears – mid-season and late-season;
- 2 plums – you can choose trees with the same ripening period;
- 4 cherries or 2 cherries and 2 sweet cherries of the same ripening period, so that they are pollinated at the same time.
You can also experiment with planting more capricious trees - peaches, apricots and cherry plums.
