If you don't like bees or eat honey only once a year, this doesn't mean that these insects are not needed for your garden.

Few people know that about 84% of crops grown by humans are pollinated by bees.

If the number of these insects is reduced, the plants will continue to bloom, but there will be no fruit set.

Advice on attracting bees to a plot is given by the expert of the online publication Belnovosti and agronomist Anastasia Kovrizhnykh.

How to attract bees to your plot

Here are some tips.

  1. Stop using industrial pesticides and replace them with biological products.
  2. Plant honey plants in free areas.
  3. The grass lawn in front of the house can be replaced with a flower lawn or a clover lawn can be planted.
  4. Parthenocapic and self-pollinating crops can also be added.
  5. Leave the greenhouse windows and doors open whenever weather permits.
  6. Plantings can be sprayed with a weak sugar solution.
  7. If there is a beekeeper in the village, you can warn him about the use of pesticides - tell your neighbors about this too.
