Rarely does a summer resident realize the usefulness of bedbugs - most believe that they are harmful and suck blood.
Many also believe that they suck all the juices out of the garden, causing the leaves to dry out, shoots to wither, and plants to shed buds and flowers.
Some types of bugs really need to be removed from the garden - the turtle and soldier bugs, marbled bugs, cucumber bugs, beet bugs and cabbage bugs.
Let's see which bugs the expert of the online publication "Belnovosti" and agronomist Anastasia Kovrizhnykh advises not to destroy.
What kind of bugs can you leave in the garden?
Here are 5 types of insects.
- Hunters or Nabids. This family of bugs feeds on ticks, moths, aphids and caterpillars.
- Anthocorids. Another enemy of aphids, whiteflies, thrips, mites and cutworm eggs.
- Mirids or blind bugs. There are some types of bugs that do not harm plants, but hunt other insect pests.
- Shield bugs or pentatomids. Some species consume the Colorado potato beetle.
- Marsh strider or water strider. They eat the larvae of horseflies and mosquitoes at the moment of their emergence.
