In order for the harvest to be consistently high-quality, it is necessary to promptly assess the soil acidity level using proven methods.

Thanks to this, it is possible to carry out effective soil deoxidation procedures in a timely manner.

An expert of the online publication "BelNovosti", agronomist and landscape designer Anastasia Kovrizhnykh identifies three methods.

What do they consist of?

Ash

Many people know this product as a universal fertilizer, but ash can also reduce soil acidity. To do this, you need to add a kilogram of ash per square meter.

Sometimes the amount is increased by another 500 grams if the soil is highly acidic.

Chalk

This affordable product also copes well with improving the soil parameters. If the soil can be called highly acidified, then we take 700 grams of the product per square meter. With average parameters, the amount can be reduced to 400 grams.

If the soil has a low degree of acidity, then to increase the yield it will be enough to add just one glass of chalk.

Dolomite flour

This product will not only help reduce acidity, but also affect the soil structure. Depending on the degree of acidity, 300 to 500 grams of the product are added.
