Storing manure is an important procedure to which farmers and gardeners take different approaches.

Some gardeners simply throw the fertilizer onto the soil and lightly cover the pile to prevent excess moisture.

But if we look at this process from a professional point of view, there are different ways of storing manure – this time we will look at the aerobic method.

Let us pay attention to the opinion of the expert of the online publication "Belnovosti" and agronomist Anastasia Kovrizhnykh.

Is it worth using the aerobic storage method?

When using this method, air freely penetrates between the layers of the manure pile, since it is not compacted during the laying process.

If the pile is in a loose state, the temperature inside can reach 70 degrees.

This is where the main advantage of this method comes from – nitrogen losses reach 40%.

But the advantage of this method is that the pile can be used to warm the soil in a greenhouse and in a garden bed.
