The purpose of whitewashing fruit trees, as is known, is to protect plants from frost and sunburn.
But if you use the composition according to the recipe from this article, you, in addition to everything else, will be able to provide the plantings with protection from diseases and pests.
You will have to prepare it yourself.
To do this, you will need to fill a bucket with 9 liters of water and add 1 kg of lime.
Mix the contents of the container thoroughly, which will cause the lime to slake.
After this, prepare another container in which you dissolve 300 g of copper sulfate in one liter of hot water.
When everything is ready, pour the copper sulfate solution into the bucket in which the lime solution is already splashing, and stir.
That's not all - now you need to "enrich" the composition with 1 tablespoon of carbolic acid, which will act as an antiseptic.
Mix all the ingredients again, after which the whitewash can be considered ready and used for application to tree trunks.
