Summer residents who grow remontant raspberries on their plots should be aware of their peculiarity, which is late fruiting.
However, as the expert of the online publication BelNovosti, scientist-agronomist, landscape designer Anastasia Kovrizhnykh says, it is quite possible that the choice of the variety belonging to this group was determined by that very quality.
However, due to this “characteristic”, it often happens that remontant raspberries do not have time to ripen in the fall.
The cause of this unpleasant phenomenon in every sense can be both weather conditions and other factors.
However, we have not gathered here today to find out what influenced this “behavior” of raspberries.
So, if you find yourself in a similar situation, don’t rush to despair – the berries on the bushes can still be saved.
When frost sets in, cut off the branches with green berries and take them home, where the shoots should be placed in a jar of water.
Under these conditions, the berries on the pruned branches will eventually reach ripeness.
