If you are the happy owner of your own garden, in which fruit trees or berry bushes grow, you are probably familiar with such a maintenance procedure as plant pruning.
However, according to the expert of the online publication BelNovosti, scientist-agronomist, landscape designer Anastasia Kovrizhnykh, not only these plants need pruning, but also indoor flowers.
True, this “operation” should not be carried out on all colors, but only on the “selected ones”.
Below you will find a short list of indoor plants for which pruning is a must.
It included:
- acalypha;
- ficus;
- pomegranate;
- lemon;
- other citrus fruits.
Having studied this list, you can independently come to the conclusion that pruning is used in the case of woody shrubs and some succulents.
Please note: in order not to harm your “green pets”, you should follow several (very simple) rules during the pruning process.
The pruning shears you plan to use in your work must be clean and sharp – this is the only way you can get a smooth cut. The branch is cut above the shoot that remains, and the cut areas are treated with wood ash, which must first be sifted.
