A bridge thrown over a stream or pond flowing in the garden can become a real highlight of landscape design.
Anastasia Kovrizhnykh, an expert of the online publication BelNovosti, agronomist and landscape designer, told us how to choose a suitable place for this element.
Rules for placing a bridge in the garden
1. Try to select a place for the bridge where it can be clearly seen from all sides.
This means that the bridge should not be placed in a corner, but instead should be placed closer to the center of the free area.
2. Make sure to create a drop in the ground so that the bridge connects one side to the other, and to play with it, you can use stones, a pond or plants.
3. An important point regarding the dimensions of the structure is that they must be proportionate to the space surrounding it.
4. The bridge will look even better if you decorate it with the same plants, flowers or stones.
5. To, as they say, combine business with pleasure, come up with a function for the bridge.
