But it is very important to collect the fruits on time. When to do this? The easiest way is to leave a few plants with arrows and use them as a guide.
As experienced gardeners note, when the arrow straightens out and the wrapper on it bursts, it’s time to dig up the garlic.
But there are other signs.
For example, if we are talking about winter garlic, then as soon as the three lower leaves dry up, then this is a sign that the fruits can be collected. You can also focus on the neck of the garlic and the roots. If it is soft and empty, and the roots are dying, then the vegetables need to be harvested.
If we are talking about spring garlic, then you need to determine its ripeness by how soft the neck is.
