Garlic is an unpretentious plant; a harvest can be obtained with minimal effort.
But at the same time, many gardeners often argue about how exactly to plant this crop in order to get high-quality vegetables.
Experienced gardeners do not have a clear answer to this question. Everything depends on the soil and the planting method.
If garlic is planted in rows along the bed, the distance between them should be about 30 cm.
The teeth should not be placed too close to each other.
It is advisable to keep a distance of 8 cm between them. If the seed material is large, then you can retreat from each hole about 10-12 cm.
As for the planting depth, gardeners usually plant the cloves 5 cm deep.
If the planting is late, it would not be superfluous to make an additional shelter from peat or humus. Flower stems and fallen leaves are suitable for this.
