How to carry out this procedure without errors was explained by the expert of the online publication BelNovosti, agronomist, landscape designer Anastasia Kovrizhnykh .
The first thing to consider is that this “operation” can only be carried out when the plants have become stronger.
There is no need to rush, because there are actually quite a few obstacles that stand in the way of eggplants: a cold spring, frosts at the beginning of summer at night, followed by unseasonable heat during the day.
During the formation process, all lateral shoots of the “blue ones” are usually removed.
All leaves must also be removed, right up to the first fork.
By the end of July, that is, by the time the ovaries have already formed, you should leave only 5-6 ovaries of them - choose the largest specimens for this purpose.
The remaining flowers and ovaries should be ruthlessly removed. This is the secret of experienced gardeners, thanks to which they get large fruits every year.
