If you treat raspberries in advance, even this may not save them from the creatures that the summer resident finds after harvesting.
Most often we see inside the raspberry beetle larva, which looks like a white worm.
But you shouldn’t immediately dilute the solution with pesticides, since after treatment you won’t be able to pick raspberries for 10 days.
We use another method that will allow us to get rid of uninvited guests – water and salt.
For three liters, dilute one tablespoon of salt until completely dissolved and pour over the raspberries for 30 minutes. After that, the larvae will float to the surface.
Then it is enough to drain the larvae and additionally rinse the berry with running water. Before immersing in the solution, it is recommended to remove the stalks and remove other debris.
After the salt solution, you can safely cook raspberries without annoying larvae. If you do not want larvae to appear next year, it is recommended to carry out a full pest control treatment.
In this case, there may be no need to perform additional manipulations.
