Probably all summer residents know about the benefits of ash, who use the remains of burning wood to feed almost all the vegetables in their garden.
Tomatoes are no exception. But in order for ash to show itself properly, it should be used according to all the rules, which we will tell you about today.
Perhaps the easiest way is to scatter ash on tomato beds.
This procedure can be carried out during the flowering and fruiting period of tomatoes. Each plant will need 500 g of grated ash. After completing the operation, do not forget to water the beds.
However, unfortunately, this method cannot boast of its effectiveness.
Instead, it's worth making a little effort and preparing a liquid ash-based solution. To do this, you'll need 10 liters of water and a glass of wood ash.
After the ash is thoroughly mixed in water, use the composition for watering. Each bush will need 0.5 liters of solution.
If you are thinking about foliar feeding, the solution should be prepared in a slightly different way.
Pour 3 liters of water into a metal bucket and add 300 g of ash, then bring the resulting mixture to a boil and continue boiling for another 30 minutes.
Leave the liquid for a short time (5-8 minutes) to infuse, then add another 7 liters of water. All that remains is to add a little bit of grated laundry soap, strain the solution and use it for spraying.
