The cabbage flea beetle is best known as a pest that poses a threat to the cabbage crop.
However, the insect may also be interested in turnips, radishes and horseradish.
The situation is complicated by the fact that several varieties of the pest can be "in charge" of the garden at once, warns landscape designer and agronomist Anastasia Kovrizhnykh , an expert for the online publication "BelNovosti".
How to overcome the cruciferous flea beetle
Use regular ash
It is worth remembering that ash will be an excellent protective agent against a dangerous pest. It is enough to simply dust crops of interest to the cruciferous flea beetle 2-3 times per season.
To enhance the effect, you can also add tobacco dust. In this case, the components are taken in a 50 to 50 ratio.
Garlic with wormwood
If you combine two effective pest control products at once, the effect will be noticeable almost immediately. You will need to chop a kilogram of wormwood and boil the plant in two liters of water for 15 minutes.
Then we chop a small head of garlic and add it to the broth.
The product should cool down. Then we filter it and add eight liters of water.
After spraying, wait four days and repeat the procedure.
