Don't underestimate the ants that appear out of nowhere on your property.
According to the expert of the online publication "BelNovosti", scientist-agronomist, landscape designer Anastasia Kovrizhnykh , these insects, which one cannot even call pests, eat the fruits of plants and flower buds.
In addition, these nosy ants spread weed seeds, aphids, and are also carriers of diseases that are dangerous to plants.
The most difficult thing to protect from ant attacks is fruit trees.
There is only one method that has been proven over the years - to use a protective (catching) belt on the tree trunk.
You can even make it yourself – you will need 5 minutes of free time, some padding polyester and any strong rope.
You should take enough synthetic padding so that you can wrap it around at least 5 cm of the tree trunk in height.
After this, secure the material with twine and as a result you will get a reliable barrier in the path of ants.
