Why the currant curled its leaves and tops: how to save the plant

Often, gardeners who grow currants on their plots notice that something is wrong with the plant.

A common problem, according to the expert of the online publication BelNovosti, scientist-agronomist, landscape designer Anastasia Kovrizhnykh , is when the foliage at the tops is twisted, and sometimes this symptom is supplemented by another one - red convex spots on the leaves.

To understand what caused the trouble, just look under the leaf.

There you will probably see black or green aphids that suck the juices out of the plant, causing the leaves to become deformed.

Fortunately, getting rid of this pest is not as difficult as it may seem at first glance.

To do this, it is worth treating the plantings with a preparation that has the label “Insecticide” on it.

Please note: to prevent aphids from returning to your site, the treatment should be repeated every 2 weeks.

If there are already berries on the currant, use compositions marked "Bio" to combat the pest. This means that substances of plant origin were used for their preparation, which have a short waiting period and do not pose any danger.
