Many summer residents believe that, having planted a pear seedling in the country, the most difficult work is done, and all that remains now is to enjoy the delicious fruits.

But it was not to be! Ahead: fertilizing, watering, and most importantly - the fight against numerous pests and pathogens.

We will talk about the latter today. Unfortunately, there are quite a few of them: bacterial burn, scab, sooty fungus, fruit rot, black pear cancer, and others.

They all have one symptom in common – blackening of the foliage. If you don’t want the leaves on your pear tree to turn black, you should take preventive measures.

In early spring, as soon as the snow melts, it is necessary to get rid of the debris around the tree trunks and dig up the soil. At the same time, it is worth adding mineral or organic fertilizers.

Before the leaves bloom, carry out hot water treatment (60 degrees). During the period of bud formation, the drug "Agat" should be used. Repeated treatment is carried out after 18-20 days.

After the pear has blossomed, "treat" it with potassium and phosphorus. In midsummer, the right time comes for the last feeding, for which ash and humus are best suited.

In autumn, gardeners also have a lot of work to do: sanitary pruning, cleaning up plant debris.

Pear buds should be treated with a 5% urea solution, while a 7% solution is used to disinfect the soil.

Finally, it is worth mentioning the need to coat the trunk and skeletal branches with a solution of lime with the addition of copper sulfate.
