Epsom salt, which contains many microelements, is useful not only for humans, but also, as it turns out, for crops growing in the garden.
An expert of the online publication "BelNovosti", agronomist, landscape designer Anastasia Kovrizhnykh told how and why to carry out top dressing using this preparation.
First of all, it is worth noting that magnesium, which is contained in Epsom salt, helps plants perform a number of important functions.
For example, it can make plantings greener, as it promotes the production of chlorophyll (this element determines the richness of the shade of the leaves).
In addition, it was found that roses fertilized with such salt produce more buds, and the size of the inflorescences is larger than those grown without salt fertilization.
Using Epsom salt in the garden and on houseplants is easy.
To do this, dissolve 2 tablespoons of granules in 4-5 liters of water, then use it for watering.
It is worth moistening the soil with such a solution no more than once a month, in between regular waterings.
