An expert of the online publication BelNovosti, agronomist, and landscape designer Anastasia Kovrizhnykh named several reasons why eggplants shed their flowers.

How to Avoid Flower Dropping
1. Only shade-tolerant varieties should be planted in the greenhouse.
2. The optimum temperature for eggplants is +24 …+28 °C during the day. At night, the indicator should be at least +18 °C.
3. It is worth taking care of the soil nutrition in the fall. To do this, you need to add compost and mineral phosphorus-potassium fertilizers. An approximate "recipe" for 1 sq. m looks like this:
- 5-6 kg of organic matter;
- 1 glass of wood ash;
- 30 g superphosphate;
- 20 g of potassium fertilizer.
