Carrots can't stand this fertilizer: summer residents apply it by the kilogram, but a different fertilizer is needed

Almost every second summer resident makes this mistake, which is why the harvest is always worse than it could be.

Many gardeners grow carrots, but only a few harvest truly large root vegetables.

Basically, the vegetable grows massive tops, and as for the underground part, it often grows a little larger than a radish.

The problem is not weather conditions or improper watering. Such a harvest is a consequence of a nutrient imbalance.

The vegetable spoils the popular fertilizer – manure. The expert of the online publication "BelNovosti", scientist-agronomist, landscape designer Anastasia Kovrizhnykh told what carrots need.

The essence of the error is that manure contains many substances that provide abundant growth of tops. There are no resources for the formation of large root crops, so the harvest is meager.

Instead of manure, carrots should be fed with complex mineral fertilizers. The vegetable does not like organic matter. But you should not get carried away with mineral fertilizers either.
