Nuances to consider for lush and abundantly blooming marigolds
If plants are experiencing a lack of water, their development will occur at a much slower pace. In addition, the size of the inflorescences will also become smaller.
But in the opposite situation - when overwatering - there is a high probability of fungus appearing and root rot.
Long rains, in turn, can cause large flowers to rot. Since we cannot influence precipitation, remove large flowers to save the rest of the plant.
The growth of marigolds is also affected by the ambient temperature. If the air does not warm up above +10 degrees, the leaves of the marigolds acquire a purple-red color, and their growth stops.
And too high a temperature will not lead to anything good, just like high humidity and too much organic matter in the spring - the vegetative mass of marigolds will, of course, increase, but flowering will be sparse.
