There are several reasons why strawberries do not produce a harvest.

An expert of the online publication "BelNovosti", agronomist, landscape designer Anastasia Kovrizhnykh explained what could be wrong with caring for strawberries.

5 reasons why strawberries do not bloom

1. Lack of nutrients in the soil. Strawberries may lack nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium or other elements necessary for flowering and fruiting. In this case, you need to add appropriate fertilizers.

2. Diseases or pests. Strawberries can be affected by diseases or pests that interfere with their flowering and fruiting. For example, these can be powdery mildew, gray mold, black spot, mite, weevil, and others. In this case, it is necessary to treat the plants with appropriate preparations.

3. Incorrect watering. Strawberries do not like over-watering or drought. If the plants are watered too much or not enough, this can lead to disruption of their flowering.

4. Incorrect planting location. If the strawberries were planted incorrectly (for example, in too much sun or in the shade), this can also affect their flowering.

5. Age of plants. If the strawberry is still young (less than 1 year) or too old (more than 5 years), it may not bloom or give a poor harvest.
