Three simple procedures before departure will help you to rest peacefully and not worry that you will have to save “dried sticks” upon arrival.
If you have no one to leave the flowers with, you will have to take care of them yourself. In order not to worry about their condition, it is enough to use simple advice.
The main task
The most important thing is to create conditions for plants that they are accustomed to. Therefore, flowers are not removed from their permanent places and are not covered with curtains.
If there is a risk that the delicate leaves will get burned, the plants should be moved further away from the window – 30-90 cm.
Soil Moistening
It's always a bit more difficult with moisture-loving plants. This cactus or money tree can be left unattended for a long time.
Many other plants require a simple procedure. Decorative pebbles are poured into any container, and then water is poured in. Then flowers are placed in the container.
The trick is that the liquid will evaporate and the stones will protect the roots from direct contact with water.
Shower
Before leaving, the plants are given a thorough shower. They are moved to the bathroom and watered from a watering can. The water should not only reach the soil, but also thoroughly wet the foliage.
Then the flowers are left for 20 minutes to allow the excess moisture to drain, and after that they are returned to their original place.
